What about an isometric automatic layout ?

Yes! This is complicated to achieve in Visio, and nearly impossible in all other diagramming apps.

Is it implemented?

yFiles seems to be capable of isometric layouts:

Isometric layout is not part of yEd. The most important reason being that the node styles available in yEd will not work well for isometric arrangements.

will isometric layouts never be integrated into yED? or are there plans to make isometric layouts available in yED? maybe even with "restricted" node styles?

yEd Live offers an isometric view mode for its editor area (see the second button from the right in yEd Live's tool bar). The yEd desktop application will most likely never support isometry.
