Since yED has bulited-in java it work much slower (I mean resizing, starting). Are You plan to do something with it? Program is VERY USEFUL and I love it. Thanks.

Well, we are contemplating a second installer without an embedded Java runtime for older Mac OSX version that do not support Java 8. No promises, though.

The fact that resizing is slower than before is not a yEd defect but a shortcoming of  Java 8 compared to Java 6. Nothing can be done about that unless Oracle improves performance for their Mac OSX implementation of Java.

For Macs with Retina displays I would go with JRE 8. For all other Macs, it should not matter.
