How can I tell orthogonal edge mode not to make bends/corners?

0 votes

I work in orthogonal edge mode to model UML class diagrams.

Problem: straighline edge between two nodes (A->B). Now I move B to the left of A (B<-A). When doing this the edge receives an artifical bend resulting in a silly looking  diagram. How can I change that behavior? I want the edge to stay straight after the operation. Note that y coordinate of node B won't change during the operation thanks to snapping.

You have to manually delete the single new bend. Alternatively, you can temporarily turn off the orthogonal edge mode.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Will that obviously funny behavior change any time soon? This is a very common editing task. Deleting the bend every time I want to change node order is quite cumbersome. Turning off OEM and on again as well...
