A layout process that will lay out cells so that they are horizontal in rows

Question

I have found a way to lay them out horizontally, but it leads to really long (length) but short (height) images. If you were go compact them into rows, it would be a compromise between long images and tall ones. Here is an image export (arranged by hand) of what it should look like, after the layout process.

yEd has no such layout process, but it's a good idea. I changed this into a feature request.
