yEd looses content of custom palettes

0 votes
Hi,

I created a custom palette with different symbols by different ways including creating it from a opened document with the symbols in it and by the "Adopt from document"-option. Both worked fine while yEd was running. But after restarting yEd all the contents in the new palettes were lost.

How can I solve that problem?

Thanks

After quitting yEd, please check if there is a palettes directory with a palette_info.xml file and one *.graphml file for each user defined palette section in your yEd profile directory.

If the palettes directory and one or more *.graphml files exists, there is a problem with loading the custom palettes.

If there is no palettes directory or the palettes directory has no *.graphml files, there is a problem with saving the custom palettes.

In both cases, the first thing to try would be increasing the amount of memory available to yEd. See How can I prevent 'Out of Memory' errors in yEd? for informations on how to do that.

Hi,

now it's working. I guess the solution was to remove the "/" from the palette's name.
Even so, thanks for your help.
Thank you very much for your reply. Seems like the palette serialization code has to be improved to support arbitrary palette section names. I have filed a corresponding request for improvement in our internal issue tracking system.
