What is the character encoding for Html Image Map

We are generating Html Imagemaps from yEd.

Do you what the character set encoding for the .html files is?

Is there a way to set the encoding to UTF-8?

Best answer
It uses Java's default encoding four your operating system, i.e. ISO-8859-1 on Windows, UTF-8 on Linux, and Mac Roman on Mac OSX up to Java 6 and UTF-8 on Mac OSX as of Java 7.

It is currently not possible to specify the encoding manually.
