Bug Report: Selection for element inside another doesn't work properly

Let's say that I place an element inside another (not Group them - just overlap). When I click on the inner element I can't select it if the outter element is selected. I need to click somewhere on the screen to deselect the outter element and then click on the inner element to select it.  

I don't know if this bug was reported before.

I am not able to reproduce this problem. Could you please provide step-by-step instructions to reproduce the issue as well as upload your preferences here? Your preferences are stored in <yEd profile directory>/settings.xml.
