How can I move node to another position (hierarchical) without lines get distroyed?

0 votes
Say I have the following order of my hierarchy

1 -> 2 -> 3

but I want to change it to

1 -> 3 -> 2

I´d want to just cut/paste or drag  "2" to the new position and all the connectors change accordingly. But right now dragging is not possible and cut/paste results in loss of all connectors.

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers,

Instead of cutting/pasting the node, reassign the edges and rearrange the diagram.

Reassigning an edge can be done by selecting the edge and dragging the small black square the marks the geometric endpoint of the edge to another node.

Rearranging a diagram is done with one of yEd's layout algorithm (see menu "Layout").
