Make multiple edge's become one edge?

0 votes

Hello,

Im having trouble with the edges on the image below. How would i make the edges from node 1 become one edge, and then branch off to nodes 2, 3 and 4. Currently, each edgegoes directly to each node. I would like the edge from node 1 to go to directly to node 3, but on that single edge, it then goes to node 2 and 4.

I hope that is clear

Thanks

The formal term for what you want to do is bus routing or edge grouping.
If you have your diagram already laid out and only need to adjust the edges, use "Layout" -> "Edge Routing" -> "Orthogonal Bus-style".
If you need to lay out the diagram from scratch, use "Layout" -> "Hierarchic" and activate setting "Automatic Edge Grouping" on tab "Edges".
