Importing groups and subgroups

Question

Trying to import an org chart with groups and subgroups. I know how to import and groups nodes from Excel, but would like to add another level and import subgroups within the groups. Is this possible and if so, how?

Like regular nodes, groups can have their own row in the node list and therefore, they can have a parent, too. For example, the following works:

ID	ParentID
g
child1	g
child2	child1
child3	child2
