Is it possible to import a background picture ?

Hello,

 

I would like to import a background picture, more precisely for example a map with countries border, in order to position my nodes and edges geographically.

I tried the Icon properties option  but then the picture is not really a "background" ....

See "File" -> "Preferences", tab "Background". Click the long "No Image" button, then choose "More". The background image should be a GIF, JPG, or PNG file.
