Different node shapes in yEd live

On yEd live I want to create a graph with two different node shapes depending on the nodes attributes in my .JSON text file that is parsed. How do I do this so that all the edges still connect accordingly?

yEd Live cannot open JSON files directly. Its file format is GraphML.

There is a workaround, though: yWorks' App Generator can be used to create a graph from JSON data and show that graph in yEd Live. The Youtube video Loading graph data dynamically into yEd-live shows how to do that.
