How to select a part of existing text

0 votes

Thank you very much for your quick and clear response.

So, I managed to change the color and add the text.

However, I do not understand how to remove part of the text contained in the MARR data,ie :

1 MAR

2 DATE 13 AUG 2005

 2 PLAC L'Abergement-Sainte-Colombe, 71370, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy, FRANCE, -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------

I would like to get only the following text (2 lines only without : 1 MAR -2 DATE- 2 PLAC), that is to say :

13 AUG 2005

L'Abergement-Sainte-Colombe, 71370, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy, FRANCE,

How to proceed?

Thank you again for your help

Daniel

You will need to use a properties mapper "Regular Expression" conversion to extract only parts of the actual text.

Please see the regular expression conversion details in the yEd Manual and e.g. From the tag "PLAC" in Gedcom, How to extract only the value "Town" or "Area code" for a label for example usages of the regular expression conversion.
