Hi,
It would be great if yEd could number the nodes in a flow chart diagram automatically, following the recommendation* that every step should be numbered sequentially from left to right and from top to bottom (just as when reading), allowing the reader or writer to refer to each step more easily.
The sequential numbering should change automatically as soon as the order of the steps is changed. Note that the numbering is simply based on the "physical" position of the node on the page (its sequence and layering), not necessarily on its "chronological" position as a step in the entire process.
Perhaps one could make a coordinate system which could sense the position of the nodes and make the numbering based upon the coordinate of the upper left corner of the symbols?
Also, if one would like certain steps not to be numbered it would be nice if one could change that too.
