Can't see action icons in yED Live

Question

I'm exploring the use of yED live vs. desktop as JRE is going away in my environment. However, no mattaer what browser I use I can not see the application icons. Has anyone had similar issues?

Hi, these icons come from a so-called icon font that is provided by a Google server. Maybe that server was down when you tried it or your network is blocking access to that server.

I created a request for improvement to host the font on our own server but we need some time to change this.

How can I verify if its being blocked? And how would I format a request to have my network managers allow the traffic?

The actual request URL for the font is https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:300,400,500,700|Material+Icons

You can try to have a look at the Material Icons overview page https://material.io/tools/icons/ and see whether this page properly shows the icons (though I'm not sure whether they have some kind of fallback in place).

You can also try to open a private browser window, which usually starts without browser extensions/plugins and see whether this helps.

As Michael mentioned, we'll look into this and decide whether to bundle the font with yEd Live or even host it on our server.
