I have been trying all the differnt layouts and options but can not work out how I can get a diagram to show as teh following (in blue)... can any one guide me as to what layout I can use?

Is this a new feature request for yed?

Yes, that is a request for a new feature.

Usually, "Layout" -> "Tree" is well suited for organization charts, however this case would require a specific setup for the layout algorithm that is currently not supported in yEd.
