Problem saving files to long paths on shared network drive

Question

Hello,

We are unable to save files on a shared drive when the path length is too deep.  Would it be possible to fix that?  This is on Windows 7 and 10.

Unfortunately, this is a shortcoming of the Java platform and cannot be fixed in yEd.
The only workaround I can think of is saving to a local directory and then moving the file from the local directory to the network share using a file browser like Windows Explorer.
