Correct Backloop Routing for Self-Edges

+1 vote

When using Backloop Routing self edges should leave at the bottom and re-enter at the top of the same node (Orientation Top to Bottom assumed).

Right now they leave at the top and re-enter at the side.

A self loop is not a back loop! A back loop is an edge such that the layer of the source node is *larger* than the layer of the target node.

Yes, of course. But one could argue that Backloop Routing implies that all edges leave the nodes at the bottom and enter at the top. This would be consistent with the overall layout flow.
I totally agree with Michael
