Edge point to middle of another edge?

I need to have an edge point to the middle of another edge. Im making diagrams for conditional path analysis and need to show how moderators (other nodes) influence the relationship between two variables. Can the tip of an arrow end on the middle of another arrow?

In yEd, every line has to have a start node and an end node. Nevertheless, you can create edges which seem to end at another edge with invisible nodes. This workaround is discussed in the following question: http://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/29/
