It would-be very handy if you can set the dementions of the workspace. I tried to use à bitmap with markers to show dementions and it works. But when I export the drawing the background is not correctly on the export.

if you can set the background and can choose not to export / print, or the workspace has markers my problem is solved.

What are "dementions"? Did you mean "dimension"? In any case, could you please post a screen shot (please do not start a new topic when doing so but either edit or answer your original post) that illustrates what you are trying to achieve?
