Custom controls as node

Question

Hi,

I am using YWorks for WPF.

I have a requiremnt to create multiple node contains childnodes 

of more than thousand nodes. If I am going with standard approach of grouping controls, GUI load time is more and GUI is looking more complex. And we want to apply some filter/search is node contents. We want to create port as cutom arrow head.

 

Can I create some custom controls as nodes?

 

Is there any sample implementation related to this scenario?
