Suggestions best layout algorithm for creating a V Diagram?

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to create a Systems Engineering V Model ("Vee Model") using the automatic layour algorithms?

I could use Visio (already got), or Inkscape (free and portable), but I would very much like yEd do the work of aligning and arranging everything, but I can't figure out the best way to do it.

Grateful for any suggestions.

Unfortunately, there is no layout algorithm in yEd that is suitable for V models. It seems to me that the graph structure of V models is usually very simple. That means there is very little (structural) information for a general purpose algorithm to work with. Thus, you would need a highly domain specific algorithm for arranging V models in a sensible manner.

I agree it's quite simple, and very specific. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks for using the existing tools to force the V shape.
