How to change the width of table node column using separator

0 votes
When using a table node in Swimlane layout I want to increase the width of a column.  I currently have 10 columns of equal width and want to increase the width of one of them (column 3). Hovering over the RH vertical boundary of this column changes the cursor into what i take to be the separator icon.  Clicking this turns both boundaries of this column, along with the RH boundary of  column 4, green.

But "moving" (i.e. dragging) the separator into the next column as per the Manual does not change the width of the column.  Nothing changes.

Have I misunderstood the process?
I am running the software on a Macbook Pro retina laptop. (OS X 10.10.5; yEd 3.16)

Step 1: Move the mouse cursor on a lane border

Now the cursor should change to a vertical bar with two small arrows pointing away from the bar. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a way to capture the corresponding mouse cursor on Mac OSX.

Step 2: Press and hold the mouse button

The lane borders will turn green.

Step 3: Keep holding down the mouse button and drag the lane border to the desired location

Step 4: Release the mouse button

The lane borders will turn back to black.
