PNGs missing after saving file as XGML
0
votes
I am using the XGML file format to translate my flowcharts in SDL Trados. When I reopen the file after saving and closing it, all included PNGs are missing, only purple placeholders are shown. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Support for the XGML file format (and also its predecessor GML) in yEd is rather limited. Many of the things that are beyond the pure structure of a diagram are not supported. Saving PNGs (or JPGs for that matter) is one of them.
This is the reason why there is a warning presented to the user, whenever he/she wants to save to XGML or GML file format: "The selected file format may not store all information."
Note that with yEd's default file format GraphML there is no such limitation.
