.graphml changes to .xml when downloaded

Question

Dear yWorks Team,

 

When downloading a .graphml file from a lotus notes database in Windows 7 (by applying "save link as"), the file extension is automatically changed from .graphml to .xml (similar issue when downloading from sharepoint).

 

How can I:

1) prevent this from happening?

2) easily make yEd understand that it still is a .graphml content so it just opens it without asking for xsl.

1. That is not a yEd problem or even a GraphML problem but a Lotus Notes/Sharepoint configuration issue. You need to find a forum or an export for Lotus Notes/Sharepoint for help with the required configuration. 

2. Rename the downloaded file to *.graphml once more.
