Is there a way to layout graph to railroad-style diagram?

I wish to represent some syntax in visually-pleasant form. Like a results generated by "railroad diagram generator" (http://bottlecaps.de/rr/ui).

Well, it is possible to draw sequence diagrams in yEd. However, it does require some diligence because there is no specific support for sequence diagrams.

As a proof-of-concept, I adopted one of the sequence diagrams the railroad diagram generator generated for the XML grammar:

Corresponding GraphML file.

Thanks for answer! I'll try to tinker with your file.
Where is this file? I cannot download it.
The blue text in the answer that says "Corresponding GraphML file" is a link to the file.
Yes, and it will not download. http://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=13456945524930422378 gives me a 301 Moved Permanently error.
Download works for me without problems in both Chrome and Firefox.
The redirect simply upgrades the protocol from http to https i.e. https://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=13456945524930422378
Moreover, the new location is properly reported in the response's "Location" header. I am surprised that your browser did not automatically request the new location.
