URL telnet:// ssh:// not working in OS X

Hello,

I want to link some nodes to network equipments, using URL.

URL http://1.2.3.4 works fine, but when using telnet://1.2.3.4 or ssh://1.2.3.4 yEd does not start the applications.

Any ideas on why?

These protocol prefixes are not supported.

The protocol prefixes supported across the different platforms are file:// and http://, see also the yEd manual here:
<http://yed.yworks.com/support/manual/properties.html>, section "URL and Description".

Is there a way you can start supporting other protocols?

It seems that current versions of Java come with support for opening any protocol that is registered with the operating system and, thus, it shouldn't be too hard to support additional protocols in yEd as well. However, I cannot make any promises whether or when this will be done.
