So I still must be missing something...

Even though I think I have previously done what you recommended, what actually shows up in the tooltip is the first text. Since I am a very infrequent user of yEd, I may not have a full understanding of all of the terminology. But I have mapped my Comment field to Tooltip in the properties mapper, but as I say, it is still the first text field that shows in the tooltip. Is there anything I am likely missing? Thanks.

EDIT: I've added screen captures to this post.

I went back and checked the steps that I have taken, and I believe they match your guidance exactly. However, in the resulting file, the first text node within each box is what is displayed in the tooltip, not the Comment field. I can provide screen captures if that would be useful. Otherwise, I must be missing some small nuance of your guidance, or possibly experiencing a bug?
At this point, screen shots would be very helpful indeed. If possible, please provide screen shots of both tabs in your Excel Import settings, your properties mapper configuration, and the properties of a selected node.
Thomas, I have added screen captures to my previous post. Please let me know if something more would be helpful. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the screen shots.

The property you imported from your spreadsheet is named "Comment" (singular). However, you map a "Comments" (plural) property to "Tooltip" in your properties mapper configuration. You need to change your properties mapper configuration to map "Comment" (singular) to "Tooltip" instead of "Comments" (plural).

OK, absolutely my bad. A nagging detail that made all of the difference. Thank you for catching the error and pointing it out to me. Having fixed the issue, the tooltip now works as I wanted! Thank you.

Also, I would like to express my appreciation for the yEd tool. I had looked long and hard to find something that would generate shapes from raw data as yEd does. This tool is fantastic. Thank you for all of your work creating it, maintaining it, and improving it.
