How can I specify (customize) spaces between nodes?

By project preference, I am using the random layout option.  I want to specify/customize the distance between nodes after the fact, but cannot figure out how.  Is that an option and where is it?

** I know you can specify in other layout options, but I need to use random for what my work requires.

Unfortunately, there are no options for random layout.

Is that something we can look into adding to future versions?  It would be really helpful to have spacing options for customizing the spattering.
