How to exchange nodes and arrows?

0 votes
Hello,

In a flowchart I want to

*exchange a node by another symbol

*let an existing arrow show to another node

I know that I can delete the old one and create a new one. But then every properties and text is lost.

How can I do this?

Sorry for my bad English and Thank you for an answer.

To exchange a node by another symbol, see this question: http://yed.yworks.com/support/qa/27/

To let an arrow (i.e., an edge) show to another node, do the following: first, select the edge; you will see little black squares appear where the edge connects to its end nodes. The black squares can be moved to another node to re-connect the edge. See also in the yEd Manual: http://yed.yworks.com/support/manual/edit_mode.html (scroll to "Moving edge ports")

Thank you very much for this help. :-)

I came to the conclusion, that it is better to use the english version of the program instead of the german one. Otherwise you will not know the matching word for searching in the help and online, i.e. using "arrow" instead of "edge".

But some things remain german, i.e. in the "View" and "Layout" pulldown menü the words "Tastenblock" and "Umschalt".
Ja, das liegt daran, dass die Bezeichnungen für diese Tastatur-Shortcuts automatisch eingefügt werden und dabei passend zur Sprache des Betriebssystems übersetzt werden.
