How can I specify the font size of node labels of data that I'm importing?

0 votes
I want to import data from excel and make a hierarchical graph but when I import it the font size of all the node labels is too small.  Then when I change the font using the font setting in the right bottom corner all the arrows get messed up.  I was wondering if there was a way of specifiying the font size before generating the graph so that the graph that is generated is according to ths font size. That way none of the nodes or arrows would need to be re-adjusted

Yes, this is possible. Before importing an Excel document, do the following:

  1. Create a custom palette section (see "Edit" -> "Manage Palette").
  2. Create a single node of the desired type and adjust its label font size to your liking.
  3. Add the aforementioned node as a node style template to your custom palette section. (Right-click the node to open its context menu and choose "Add to Palette".)
  4. Double-click the corresponding template in your custom palette section to make it the default template for new nodes.

When importing Excel documents, switch to tab "Presentation" of the Excel Import settings and make sure option "Template" is set to "Selected Template from Palette".
