Is it possible to add/move an object to existing group

Question

I have a hierarchy graph with many groups with specific graphic attributes. Importing nodes into groups is working well, but how can I manually add a new node(or move the existing) to some specific group without regroup it (= lost of graphic attributes).
Best if the group become an editable attribute (property) of the node = easy editing also for selections.

Select one or more nodes and then hold SHIFT while you drag the node(s) in or out of groups.
