Items in groups don't show in successors

Question

When I check linked relationships in succerssors items in groups arn't shown and only the group box is shown.

 

Im doing a home network graph and put my wireless devices in a group and linked that group to the router image with target pointing at the group.  I can see the group box in successors but it shows empty.

 

Whats the peoper way to group items for this.

If you connect a node N to a group G, then the contents of G are not considered successors of N and hence that content is not displayed in the successors view.

If your successors view is "Hierarchy Aware" (which is the default and may be changed from the successor view's context menu), it displays parent nodes in addition to selected nodes and successors of selected nodes.

(Moreover, in "Hierarchy Aware" mode connections into closed group nodes are resolved.)
