[SOLVED] Can I export a text version of the edge list of a flow chart?

It is possible to import an edge list and node list from excel. See here:
http://yed.yworks.com/support/manual/import_excel.html#edgelist
I would like to do the opposite of this. After drawing a flow-chart, I would like to get it's structure in text format with lablels. The ideal format would be similar to edge list at importing. I would like to use that text data so that a program I write could use the relationships drawn on the flow chart.
Is this possible?

Have you tried saving to TGF? Sounds like this format comes closest to your use case.

Thanks, it does what I wanted. I wasn't aware that any of the formats could be opened with a simple text editor.
