Can I change the format so that a file will open in a computer without any graphics software?

I work with people who do not do graphics work and do not have software on their computers that is compatible with the .xgml format.  Can I change the format so that files will be able to be displayed in a browser (e.g. Chrome) or media software or something in MS Office?

Try exporting your diagrams as SVG documents. All modern browsers support SVG very well.
