Fix Nodes in a Family tree, then run automatic layout tool?

Pretty simple, I'm working on some lineages that have several lines of descent from a historical figure to myself or someone in my family. I'd like to be able to "fix" certain nodes (people) then run the automatic layout tool on the rest of the nodes.

Any way to do this?

Unfortunately, the family tree layout algorithm does not support the desired feature.
