yEd has encountered the following error: Saving failed due to "Access is denied"

The error message means you were trying to overwrite an existing file for which you had no write permission or were trying to save the diagram in a directory in which you had no write permission. That is usually not a yEd problem (permissions are enforced by the operating system). The solution is to save (as) the diagram in a directory for which you have write permissions.
