Properties View lost most of its options

I was doing OK with what I learned from the video. Then something happened and the Properties View changed from multiple options (ability to edit fill, font, etc) to just General and Data. I might have made an errant mouse click in the Palette to cause this - not sure.

I uninstalled the program, and reinstalled it, but this didn't restore the former Properties View.

Can you tell me how to get the Properties View back to something workable?

I just discovered that the Properties View I was seeking actually appears when an element is selected, so you can disregard that question!
