Hello,

How do I make node vertical instead of the usual horizontal? I want to describe the Y axis with a long, colorful node to outline level of influence.

I do not think I understand this questions. Nodes are re-sizable in both directions. Creating a node whose height is greater than its width is very easy. Select the node, enter a new height value that is greater than the node's current width in the properties table that is in the lower right corner or use the mouse to drag the small black square right below the node's bottom border.
