Pattern Fill

+4 votes

Pattern fills (such as the ones presented in http://andypope.info/charts/patternfills.htm) would be a useful addition to yEd. I often want to make charts to be printed in black & white, but using only colors or color gradients limits the quantity of information to be displayed. Even just a few simple patterns (e.g., dots and stripes) would help a lot.

How about supporting CSS patterns for nodes in yEd?

Example created via http://www.patternify.com/

<style>body { background:url(data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAQAAAAECAYAAACp8Z5+AAAAD0lEQVQImWNgQAX/yeAAAIHCA/0RE2WAAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC) repeat; }</style>

or

<head><style>body { background-image: repeating-linear-gradient(gold, blue); }</style></head>

Kind regards
Maddes
