Unify Swimlane Table cells

Swimlane Table is a great object and I was thinking if it is possible to unify cells as in Excel.

One idea I thought of to work around it was to use Swimlane Nodes and then group them. Unfortunately One problem I have with this implementation is that I do not know how to remove the Label 'Horizontal/Vertical Swim Lanes'. How can I do it?

Is there any other better way to implement this?
