Multiline edge label alignment

For a multiline node label, I have found "alignment" under Labels in the properties view (with the node selected). I can´t figure out how to do it with a multiline edge label. I see no similar setting with the edge itself, label or either node selected.

Can you please explain the steps to left-align text in a multiline edge label, if it is currently possible?

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to specify the alignment for edge labels. Such a setting will be added for the next release of yEd.
