Import of numbers

Question

I imported a normal Excel file (.xlsx) into yEd. I Excel my column "amount" is formated as "number". When displaying the graph, this data is shown as "text". Therefore the "Properties Mapper" for new configuration (f.e. for edges) is not is not working, as the the program does not recogonize a "value" in the data source.

Is there a special format for the numbers in Excel which has to be used or a different format for the entire Excel file (.xlsx vs xls)

After importing, you can use "Manage Custom Properties" (in menu Edit) to change the type of properties. All property values are instantly converted to the new type. The conversion from text to decimal will work as expected for all text values that represent a number.
