Match node data element and x,y position

Question

Hi,

I import an excel file with nodes properties X and Y. And i want to map X and Y data with x and y node, then I use the Properties Manager, I create the mapping :

For ex :

Data source = X

Map to = X

Conversion = Automatic

 

But it doesn't work... x,y coordinates do not change.

There is nothing obvious that you're doing wrong, it should work in this way. (I suppose you have a similar mapping for y.)

Can you please check that importing the data from Excel worked correctly: select a node and check that it's Data values in the Properties View dock panel are correct.

Thank you very mutch for your answer. Now it works properly. What I did is just deleting my node configuration, and create again exactly the same, and it worked since then... Maybe I did something wrong without notice it :-)

I'm glad to here that you solved the problem. Would be interesting to investigate why it didn't worked the first time since we haven't seen this problem before but I don't see a way to do this.
