Adding relationship links in an entity relationship diagram does not work correctly

When I try to add one of the relationship links between two entities, every time I try to connect the end to an entity, a new empty relationship diamond gets inserted. I don't need a relationship diamond because I already have one.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I understand the problem. Could you upload a screenshot that shows the undesired "empty relationship diamond"?
