Can't click on anything in the yEd interface

0 votes
When I launch yEd, most of the interface doesn't respond when I click on it. I can click on the menu bar at the top, and I can click on the main tool bar. But in the graph window, nothing works. I can load a sample graph, and it displays fine, and I can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel, but I can't do much else. i.e. I can't click on graph elements, or close the graph window.

If you could provide any advice on how to fix this, I'd be really grateful.

yEd version: 3.10.2

java version: 1.7.0_21

os: ubuntu 13.04

I am also using xmonad 0.10 for my window manager, but I have added the following line to xmonad.hs, which got the gui to display (before that yEd would just show a blank window):

myStartupHook = setWMName "LG3D"

I should also mention that I am using sun java 64-bit.
Had the same issue using FVWM 2.6.5 under Debian wheezy/sid.  Using fluxbox solved the issue.

This is almost certainly a problem with your window manager. Please try a window manager like Gnome or KDE.
