Changing the default values in the properties

I want all of my labels to have white backgrounds and centered on the line.  The default is no background and off of the line.  I know there are ways to select all and then change the properites value(s) for all the elements at one time but I don't want to do that everytime I start yEd.  Can I change the defaults so that it remains for subsequent launches of yEd?
