How to prevent html subscripts being not aligned.

0 votes

Dear all,
using the tag, sometimes the final text has the subscript not close to the text. But this problem does not occur every time I use the tag . If I change the font, the misalignment can become worst. An example is shown by the attachedd picture: the subscript "2" is a bit too far from the letter "H". Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, I do not think there is much that can be done about this problem. Rendering text in general and HTML-formatted text specifically is fairly involved and complex. For this reason, yEd does not include its on text rendering engine, but leverages Java's built-in support for rendering text. Java's text rendering framework also handles kerning.
