Can not open yEd for Mac

Hi!

I can not open yEd. I installed it several times and it's always the same. I try to open it, it shows on the dock for 1sec and it's gone. Just like this.

 

Mac OS X 10.7.5

JAVA 7U17 (build 1.7.0_17-b02)

Is there also a Java SE 6 from Apple on your Mac? If not, install the latest to be able to start yEd by double-clicking yEd.app.

Well, the latest one is Java 7 Update 17, which I already have...

No, I really meant Java SE 6 from Apple. The latest is 1.6.0_43 as of this writing. Java SE 7 is from Oracle.

I already had it, nevertheless reinstalled it and the problem persists.

Hm. And when yEd fails to start, is there perhaps something in the system logs (in Console.app)? Or is there an 'error.log' file next to yEd.app?

Can you start the Jar file 'yed.jar' by double-clicking?
