Special mouse drag to 'create space'

0 votes
It would be nice if i could hold down a key and drag the mouse and it would 'create space' by moving everything one side of the cursor in the direction i am moving the mouse. This is implemented in labview with the ctrl key. Or is there another way of creating space in the middle of a busy diagram?

Currently, the only way to create space is by moving elements the usual way - i.e. select several elements at once (e.g. using the selection marquee) and drag them away with the mouse .

Yeah, the more I play around in yEd the more I think this would be a great feature. Like if I want to insert a box in the middle of a bunch of stuff it would be really nice to just push everything over a little and make space.
